MOMENTS is a series of three films that tell the story of real, high level innovators, and their respective journeys to success.
This project involved an exciting blend of metaphorical and abstract illustrations to fully convey the ingenuity of each person. Any project where I can design Rube Goldberg-esque devices is a win in my book. My role was to develop the color language, map out all three spots through storyboards & styleframes, fully illustrate styleframes for final looks while prepping elements for animators, building client presentations and briefing the presenters.

Fred Kamel, President of Accommodations Plus International, discusses developing networks — both digital and personal — to efficiently connect crew accommodations between the travel, hotel, and ground transportation industries. Even though this was the third and final spot, I’m sure you can tell by the quantity of frames and sketches, I was still really enjoying designing visual systems to illustrate his technological ones.

Bob Shaw, former CEP and President of Netoptics, explains how his company’s unique corporate culture encouraged employees to excel which contributed to exponential growth. His was the first spot we worked on — a fun testing ground for the abstract visual ideas that would inform the rest of the trilogy’s style.
