Our films, OUT OF THE DARK and SPECIAL POWERS, tell the true stories of Deborah and Jason, two individuals living with schizophrenia.
I was tasked with developing storyboards, concept frames, design elements, production art, and print art depicting their journey from great moments of struggle through regaining control. As you can tell by the quantity of design frames and variations below, a lot of heart went into balancing creativity with respect toward the subject matter.
▼SPECIAL POWERS/
The first of two spots for the campaign: A schizophrenic episode leads Jason to believe he has special powers through direct eye contact and that everybody is under the influence of “voices” out to get him.
▼OUT OF THE DARK/
The second of two spots for the campaign: While running lost and barefoot in Washington D.C., Deborah hallucinates her father and confronts law enforcement.
